Al and Leslie are a husband/wife duo. Al has a thorough background in horticulture and the safety industry. Leslie has a degree in Biology which laid the foundation to her studies in herbalism and is currently completing her Ayurvedic Practitioner License. Their combined experience, knowledge, and Love for all things of nature make them a dynamic 'growing' team. They are the owners and operators of Indigenous Apothecary where they serve their area with all natural home, bath and body products (all made in house), wild crafted and organic herbs, botanicals, and spices, and all natural supplements and medicinals.
Their story comes with a long line of conviction. Leslie is a stage four metastatic melanoma survivor. Given a very poor prognosis and offers of chemical treatments that were only promising to prolong life temporarily, she chose quality of life. She utilized natural herbs, added a more fresh organic diet that included lots of produce and juicing, and also utilized cannabis. The cannabis added and continues to add a quality of life after such an illness and many surgeries. Bringing this plant into the light that it deserves and ending the terrible false narrative that has followed cannabis became her sole mission.
Growing Greene Cultivation Facility is Located on their Homestead in Greene County MS. They both actively participated in the grass roots of getting Medicinal Cannabis legal in their home state of Mississippi, and Made history in their local county with ending the prohibition to Cannabis in an area that Liquor is not even Legal. In a very controversial market, they wanted to be apart of the industry, but navigate it in a way that supported their convictions of never putting money over medicine. Always Cultivate in Love and Never for Greed.
